The following schedules apply to Day, Afternoon/Evening and Stay & Sail packages for 2012. We also put to sea on other dates for corporate events or exclusive charters using unscheduled dates for example the cross channel trips - please just ask!

Sailing Days

After coffee and pastries, you’ll sail down the River Orwell and then going offshore, before mooring or anchoring for lunch on board or if you wish having ‘food on the go’. In the afternoon, you sail upstream whilst taking a cream tea and drinks, arriving back at the marina early in the evening. The choice of the exact itinerary is yours subject to the weather and time, so sit back, relax and enjoy the fantastic views or take a turn at the helm and trimming the sails. Our skipper will be delighted to show you the ropes.

Afternoon/Evenings

Meet at our offices on the marina before boarding your vessel to cruise the River Orwell. On board you will be served afternoon cream tea whilst enjoying the colourful views and drinks on the return leg.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ambience of the river and if you fancy a go at the helm or sail handling our skipper will be delighted to show you the ropes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we go on a day's sail? Some of it depends upon the weather and wind direction. But in a day we would expect to either get out to sea from Harwich harbour and either go up to Felixstowe or down the coast to Walton Pier or if preferred up the Stour to Wrabness.

What do you do for lunch? We can either have ‘lunch on the go or drop anchor - pick up a buoy to enjoy lunch - afternoon tea alfresco, that’s all part of the standard package.

Do I have to bring my own drinks? We provide water, Tea, Coffee and juice in the price quoted, other upgrades are available.

What is included on a Half-Day Yacht Charter (4 hours)? We’ll meet at our premises on the marina before boarding your vessel to cruise the River Orwell. Enjoy afternoon tea on board whilst enjoying the beautiful views.

Price per person - £89.50 (Approx 4 hour - Times can vary)

What’s included on a Sail and Dine Yacht Charter? Set sail from Ipswich Marina about 3pm and take in the beautiful views along the river before taking afternoon cream tea on board. Cruise the rest of the afternoon in the local river and Harwich Harbour before returning to dine in one of our Quayside partner restaurants. A truly exceptional experience.

Special Spring Offer - for bookings made by 1.6.12 two can sail for £300

We are available unless booked already for any day or week throughout the year. All timings are approximate and all departures are normally from Ipswich Marina however we can arrange to start and end at other locations to suit - please enquire for more details.
